1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Axipher Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong ("Axipher", "we", "us"), handles information in connection with the ArkQuant iOS application and this website (together, the "Service"). We designed ArkQuant to work without an account and to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Analysis requests. The ticker symbols, timeframes and related parameters you submit are sent to our servers to generate reports, together with technical request metadata (such as app version and interface language).
- Device and diagnostic data. Basic device information (model, OS version), crash logs and performance diagnostics, used to keep the Service reliable.
- Usage information. Aggregated, non-identifying interaction data (for example, which features are used) that helps us improve the product.
- Communications. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
ArkQuant does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, financial account details or precise location. Your generated report history is stored locally on your device and can be removed by deleting the records or the app.
3. How We Use Information
- to operate the Service — including generating the AI research reports you request;
- to maintain safety, security and reliability, and to debug and fix issues;
- to understand aggregate usage and improve features and content;
- to respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
4. AI Processing
To generate reports, your analysis requests and related market data are processed by our backend systems, which may use third-party AI and data providers acting on our behalf. These providers process the data only to provide the relevant functionality and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond what the law allows.
5. Sharing of Information
We share information only with: (a) service providers that host, process or analyse data for us under confidentiality obligations; (b) authorities or other parties where required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and integrity of the Service; and (c) a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain server-side information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above — typically short retention windows for request logs and diagnostics — unless a longer period is required by law. Report history kept on your device remains under your control.
7. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law (including the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you by contacting contact@axipher.com. You can also delete on-device data at any time by removing your report records or uninstalling the app, and manage app permissions in iOS Settings.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Transfers
Information may be processed on servers located outside the jurisdiction where you live, including outside Hong Kong. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps designed to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and material changes may additionally be highlighted in the app or on this website.
